29年沒有打進季後賽的隊伍，突然間只差一個出局，就可以晉級世界大賽，如果此時對方把球打到你的管區，能不能穩穩抓下這最後一個出局？

皇家總教練Ned Yost坦承，當只剩最後一個出局時，他緊張到膝蓋發抖。

「喜劇演員Jeff Foxworthy告訴我，那種情況下，如果是他，會把球傳上看台第9排，打中某位女球迷。」教頭Yost說。

不過皇家隊三壘手Mike Moustakas通過這個考驗，他攔住滾地球、穩穩傳向一壘，結束比賽，皇家拿到美聯冠軍。

「那是個漂亮的獎座，」教頭Yost說，「當球員們把獎座獻給老闆Davis Glass，老闆看了看，說『很棒，但我期待能拿到一個上面插滿小旗子的獎座(世界大賽冠軍)。』」
