日職兩聯盟季後賽第2輪（6戰制）開打，太平洋聯盟方面，火腿鬥士隊到福岡巨蛋客場挑戰軟銀鷹隊。鏖戰至9局下，軟銀代打吉村裕基敲出2分打點再見安打，以3比2逆轉獲勝。

軟銀是聯盟冠軍，未戰先獲1勝，已取得2勝0敗領先，接下來的5戰火腿要贏4場才能打進總冠軍賽，軟銀只要贏2場就可晉級。陽岱鋼昨役4支1、吞2K，季後賽累計打擊率1成05，被三振10次（19打數），須及時振作。

秋山幸二前天宣布球季結束辭卸軟銀監督職務，投手教練郭泰源與外野守備跑壘教練笘篠誠治昨亦跟進請辭，下一任監督可望由工藤公康接手。

中央聯盟方面，阪神虎靠著洋將戈梅茲在1局上的3分全壘打奠定勝基，以4比1擊敗聯盟冠軍讀賣巨人，雙方1勝1敗平手。
