紅雀與道奇第四戰，紅雀在兩發全壘打加持下，終場以4:2擊敗道奇，目前系列戰取得3:1聽牌優勢，如明日之戰再度獲勝，將是2011年之後再次贏得國聯冠軍。

紅雀第三局卡本特(Matt Carpenter)二壘安打率先打回球隊第1分，緊接著哈樂戴(Matt Holliday)一棒送出左外野大牆，紅雀3:0領先。

道奇四局下作出反攻，A-Gon(Adrian Gonzalez)二壘安打，普伊格(Yasiel Puig)安打打回1分，艾利斯(A.J. Ellis)接著安打，道奇在此局追回2分。

羅賓森(Shane Robinson) 七局轟陽春彈，替紅雀增添保險分，

紅雀後援投手群，聯手封鎖3.2局，僅被敲出2支安打，最後半局普伊格敲出雙殺打，烏瑞比(Juan Uribe)遭到再見三振，紅雀拿下第四戰勝利。

紅雀先發投手林恩(Lance Lynn)5.1局被敲出6支安打失掉2分，隊友打擊力挺而拿下勝投，道奇諾拉斯科(Ricky Nolasco)4局被敲出3支安打失掉3分，吞下敗投。

第五戰依然在道奇主場進行，紅雀派出首戰表現不錯的凱利(Joe Kelly)，道奇則是推出葛蘭基(Zack Greinke)先發。
