天使、白襪與響尾蛇昨完成3方交易，響尾蛇用外野手伊頓與白襪換來投手聖地牙哥，再用他與年輕投手史卡格司，跟天使換得強棒強波，以及日後1名指定球員。
強波本季敲出34發全壘打、100分打點創個人新高。他說：「很高興有這樣的機會，也看得出來響尾蛇真的很想要我，才會送出潛力球員。我身為球員，應該要幫願意為你犧牲的人竭盡全力。」(記者賴德剛)
