強棒轟河 艾瓦瑞茲第3人

海盜隊派卓艾瓦瑞茲昨天用棒子把自己的名號刻在球隊史冊裡。他4局下轟出446呎的超大號全壘打，成為史上第3位直接把球打入海盜PNC球場右外野牆外阿利根尼河的打者。
海盜隊PNC球場位在阿利根尼河（Allegheny River）畔，右外野全壘打牆距本壘板為320呎，而與河道最近處是443呎又4吋。球場2001年啟用後，至昨日僅出現第3顆直接被打到河裡的全壘打球。
第1發是在2002年7月6日，太空人隊沃德面對海盜投手威爾斯，揮出入河的滿貫炮；2013年6月2日，海盜蓋瑞瓊斯（今年效力洋基）敲出463呎超大號全壘打，成為海盜轟河第1人。
昨日艾瓦瑞茲炮打雙城先發投手諾拉斯可的那1轟，其實是直接掉入1艘停靠在河岸的遊艇內，不過仍算是第3支入河全壘打。此役，海盜5比8敗給雙城，可惜了艾瓦瑞茲那支紀錄之轟。
