紅人與國民之戰，兩隊戰得難分難解，打到延長賽第15局，從晚上7點，一路打到隔天凌晨，打了4小時58分，紅人才靠佛雷澤(Todd Frazier，圖右)的2分砲，以4比3贏下這場艱辛的勝利。佛雷澤說：「這實在是場瘋狂的比賽，前3打數我沒有安打，後3打數我卻接連擊出安打甚至全壘打，就像是場新的比賽一樣。」
後攻的國民，本來有機會在延長賽贏球，卻接連被二壘手菲利普斯(Brandon Phillips)與中外野手漢彌爾頓(Billy Hamilton)美技守住，無緣搶下勝利。(記者王翊亘)
