中華職棒總冠軍賽，統一獅最後以4比0橫掃義大犀牛，勇奪隊史第9座總冠軍，「綠色坦克」高國慶包辦單場以及系列賽MVP，救援投手坎諾則獲得系列賽優秀球員肯定。

獅隊賽後慶功準備1萬條彩帶、20瓶香檳以及50箱啤酒，要讓球員好好慶祝，賽後代總教練陳連宏更被球員高高拋起，結束總冠軍賽之後，球員們會先放假，接著再投入備戰亞洲職棒大賽。

統一獅封王，陳連宏也即刻真除，將以總教練身分帶領獅隊挺進亞職大賽。
