〔自由時報記者徐正揚／綜合報導〕運動家去年拚到球季最後1場，才扳倒整年盤踞美聯西區首位的遊騎兵，今年稍微輕鬆一點，在進入最後1週、還剩6場比賽就提前暢飲封王香檳，相隔10年之後再次衛冕分區冠軍。

運動家昨天與雙城進行4連戰最後1場，由於封王魔術數字來到「M1」，只要贏球就自力封王，打線於2局下靠3保送、3安含克里斯普3分彈，鯨吞6分奠定勝基。

攻守剛交換，早2小時開打的遊騎兵在客場被皇家於10局下轟出再見滿貫彈，運動家確定封王，主場逾3萬名球迷欣喜若狂，全隊也相擁慶祝，此戰也以11：7勝雙城。

運動家拿下隊史第16座分區冠軍，繼2002-03年後再次衛冕成功，也是隊史第25次晉級季後賽，賽後全隊互噴香檳。運動家93勝63敗，只落後紅襪1.5場，有機會再拚美聯季後賽主場優勢。

運動家去年趕在球季結束前1天，打出一波5連勝，追平整季只有2天沒當老大的遊騎兵，球季最後一場正面對決再以12：5大勝，演出大聯盟史上罕見的逆轉奪冠。
