金鶯傳奇教頭威佛 天堂加持殷仔首勝

傳奇教頭威佛在年初過世，享年82歲，金鶯在昨天雙重賽晚場賽前在全場球迷面前表揚老教頭的功績，並請到他昔日子弟兵小瑞普肯(Carl Ripken)和羅賓森(Brooks Robinson)，以及金鶯教頭蕭華特談談對這位名人堂教頭的想法，而賽前在外野牛棚區上方的公園裡，亦不時有球迷與威佛的銅像(見圖)合影。威佛教頭生涯17年都帶領金鶯，共拿過6次美聯冠軍和1次世界大賽冠軍，生涯1480勝1060敗，於1996年入選名人堂，4號背號也在金鶯退休，今年金鶯球衣臂上都繡有4號就是為了紀念他。陳偉殷在傳奇教頭的加持下，奪下首勝。
