曼尼調的這種酒對運動表現，心理層面幫助應該大於生理層面，實際上沒甚麼作用。威而剛主要成分是一氧化氮，並不在禁藥檢測範圍內，但酒精對藥檢會有不利影響；草藥成分無法得知對運動表現有無幫助，但就算有應該也會被酒精抵消。喝下這種酒後有好表現，應該是心理作用。
酒精是種大腦皮質抑制劑，有助於放鬆和讓人亢奮，但對生理上機能是負面的，也會讓人理智、行為控制能力下降，對於棒球那麼技術精密的運動種類來說，弊大於利。此外，酒最好別和威而鋼同時服用，否則會有猝死風險。
