金鶯終結者續約年薪飆6倍

【王翊亘╱綜合報導】金鶯昨與守護神布里頓(Zach Britton)簽1年320萬美元(約1.01億台幣)約避免薪資仲裁；去年他年薪52萬美元(約1646萬台幣)，本季年薪漲6倍。
去年臨危受命擔任金鶯終結者，布里頓出賽71場戰績3勝2敗37救援，防禦率1.65。他開價年薪420萬美元(約1.33億台幣)，金鶯喊價220萬美元(約6966萬台幣)，取中間值成交，還附帶最高50萬美元(約1583萬台幣)激勵獎金。
激勵獎金中的30萬美元(約950萬台幣)，與擔任終結者救援成功次數有關，60次救援成功以上全拿；另20萬美元(約633萬台幣)則攸關個人獎如金手套、明星賽、救援王等。金鶯只剩外野手狄亞薩(Alejandro de Aza)尚未談妥。
