前血襪投手希林 自爆罹癌

（法新社美國布里斯托5日電） 3度贏得美國職棒大聯盟MLB世界大賽冠軍的傳奇投手希林（CurtSchilling）今天透露自己罹患癌症。

目前擔任球評的希林透過美國有線電視體育專業頻道（ESPN）發表聲明說：「我一直相信生命就是擁抱上天恩賜，並挺身接受挑戰。」「我們現在碰上新挑戰，因為我近來診斷出罹癌。」

47歲的希林原定參與ESPN下一季「週日夜棒球」（Sunday Night Baseball）節目團隊，目前不清楚是否生變。

希林打過大聯盟20個賽季，效力過5支球隊，包括巴爾的摩金鶯（Orioles）、 休士頓太空人（Astros）、費城費城人（Phillies）、亞利桑那響尾蛇（Diamondbacks）及波士頓紅襪（Red Sox），2009年正式退休。

希林2004年協助紅襪打破86年魔咒，稱霸世界大賽。當年他一度不顧腳傷在投手丘奮戰，結果一隻襪子沾滿血，浴血拚戰精神為球迷津津樂道。

希林表示，他和家人已準備好為健康奮戰。他說：「在超強天才醫療團隊協助下，我準備努力再次大贏一場。」

希林的妻子香妲（Shonda）2001年也診斷出有惡性黑色素瘤。（譯者：中央社盧映孜）
