紅雀新星殞落 球迷含淚送別

紅雀外野手塔瓦瑞茲因車禍過世，昨家鄉為他舉辦隆重葬禮，為悼念這位來不及成為巨星的潛力新秀，特別在紅雀球場開啟右外野燈光，感念他對球隊的貢獻，世界大賽第7戰開打前也進行了紀念儀式(圖二)。

塔瓦瑞茲在多明尼加頗具盛名，昨天喪禮成為家鄉最重要的大事，沿路萬人空巷。與他交情不錯的紅人隊王牌賽門(Alfredo Simon，圖一)出席喪禮，在現場忍不住流下眼淚。紅雀隊總經理莫茲列克(John Mozeliak)、總教練麥西尼(Mike Matheny)也到場表達哀悼。(記者楊逸民)
