手勢問候自家球迷 終結者被逐出場

Jonathan Papelbon救援失敗，惹毛自家球迷，被驅逐出場後，還跟裁判起衝突。費城人從4比1領先，變成4比5敗給馬林魚。

之前連續救援成功14場的Papelbon，第9局上來試圖守住4比1領先，但馬林魚展開一輪猛攻：Jarrod Saltalamacchia擊出二壘打、Enrique Hernandez保送、Adeiny Hechavarria內野安打、Jordany Valdespin滾地球出局但有打點、Christian Yelich內野安打、以及代打Justin Bour的追平分安打。

Papelbon雖然K掉Casey McGehee，但面對下一棒Carlos Ruiz時，卻出現要命暴投，Yelich回來攻下馬林魚超前分。

這個半局結束後，Papelbon走回休息室的路上，現場費城球迷用噓聲迎接他。這位守護神「見笑轉生氣」，竟對自家球迷比出粗鄙手勢，被裁判長Joe West驅逐出場。看到這個判決，Papelbon怒不可抑，衝上前跟West理論，但被一壘審Marty Foster架開。

「我告訴Papelbon，你被趕出去了，」West說，「然後他就從休息室衝出來，頭撞到我的帽子，於是我抓住他，要他離我遠一點。」

然而Papelbon堅稱，他的手勢不是針對球迷的噓聲。

「這是棒球，」Papelbon說，「我真的無意對球迷比出什麼手勢，當我走下球場的那一刻，球迷做了什麼都沒有影響我，我看不見、聽不到他們做了什麼。球迷付錢進場，想看到好比賽，他們有權噓我、或是做想做的事情。」

「不過，要是裁判牽扯其中，自以為可以多做些什麼，那他還是管好比賽就好。」
