Derek Jeter最後明星賽，帶動收視率上升。根據轉播頻道的說法，今年明星賽收視戶1130萬，比去年多了30萬。

去年明星賽是Mariano Rivera最後一次參賽，在大都會主場Citi Field舉行。今年在雙城隊主場。

負責轉播的福斯體育頻道說，今年明星賽前半小時，收視率衝高9%，原因很簡單：Jeter是美聯第一位上場的打者，大家都想看他打擊。

今年明星賽收視率7.0，是2010年以來的新高。2012年曾寫下6.8的低點。
