最近幾年開始灑大錢找球星，道奇本季團隊薪資正式超越洋基，成為新一代「邪惡帝國」的代名詞，1日比賽他們擊敗雙城，收下隊史的第1萬場勝利。

從1999年到2013年在大聯盟當中，都是洋基的團隊薪資為最高，今年道奇以2億3529萬美元，超越了洋基的2億381萬美元。

今天(1日)以6比4擊敗雙城，道奇拿下隊史第1萬勝，靠著就是陣中的年薪2600萬球星Zack Greinke主宰戰局，他主投6.0局只失1分非自責分，被敲7支安打1保送，歡喜收下開季5連勝。

曾獲得賽揚獎肯定的Greinke說：「我的投球機制變好了，能把球投到設定的位置，也變得更聰明，同時隊友也幫了很多忙，有多次精采的防守美技。」

過去Greinke在雙城主場戰績並不好，今天扭轉了這個頹勢，雙城總教練Ron Gardenhire表示，「他(Greinke)是有競爭力的選手，總是能找到辦法往下投，延長自己的投球局數。」
