〔自由時報記者黃照敦／綜合報導〕義大犀牛上半季封王，關鍵球員首推曼尼，昨天傳出日本職棒中日龍隊考慮向他招手，改善貧打打線。

曼尼在台3個多月，繳出3成52打擊率、8轟、43打點的成績後，於6月離台回美國，曾短暫到遊騎兵小聯盟調整，但沒多久就被釋出，中日掌握到曼尼在多明尼加冬季聯盟等待機會，決定派首席教練森繁到場觀察，作為是否網羅參考依據。
