光芒、DeJesus情投意合 兩年1050萬

光芒隊用「兩年1050萬美元」合約，留住外野手David DeJesus，這位快過34歲生日的好手，今年轉到光芒隊後，在主場繳出打擊率0.341的佳績(44打數、15安打)。「我認為，打有意義的比賽是很重要的，」DeJesus說，「能夠繼續待在光芒隊、跟這些隊友們一起打球，我很愉快，也是我想要的。我希望有張合理的約，跟球團討論後，現在我們達成了。」

DeJesus所謂有意義的比賽，就是贏球、前進季後賽。他不想為那種「開幕沒幾天，就知道今年無望的隊伍」效力。

即將在12月滿34歲的DeJesus，生涯打擊率0.279，今年成績則是打擊率0.251、8支全壘打。他三個外野都能守，如果不先發的話，可以在比賽後段擔任守備組、或是代跑，還可擔任左手代打。

「DeJesus想留下來，我們也想留他下來，」光芒隊棒球事業部執行副總裁Andrew Friedman說，「今年我們有機會看到他如何管理自己，我們有信心，未來兩年他還會是一位好選手。」
