麥克林登離開老虎 前往水手執教

水手換總教練，帶兵三年的魏吉(Eric Wedge)下台，換為前老虎打擊教練麥克林登(Lloyd McClendon)上任。

「我很開心能夠有這個機會帶領水手，」麥克林登說，「這支球隊很俱有未來性，我希望能帶領這支球隊跨越下一步。」

今年54歲的麥克林登，2001到2005年曾執教過海盜，不過戰績不佳，五個球季中繳出336勝446敗的成績，並不理想，2006年開始擔任老虎的打擊教練，2010曾面試水手總教練的工作，但未能獲選。

水手原總教練魏吉，在水手三年時間戰績214勝272敗，未曾打過季後賽，去年球季71勝91敗排名美聯西區第四，水手從2009年之後，連續五年勝率未達五成。
