歐提茲(見圖)在美聯冠軍賽對戰老虎6戰，22打數僅敲2安，打擊率不及1成。但昨天4打數2安打，7局下面對紅雀為了對付他特地換上來的左投席格瑞斯特(Kevin Siegrist)，第1球就敲出右外野2分砲，單場3分打點是球隊獲勝功臣。同時，2局下面對溫萊特，滿壘時，他敲出右外野深遠飛球，若不是被貝爾川硬從全壘打牆外撈回來接殺，早就是支滿貫砲，打擊手感完全恢復！(記者賴德剛)
