避免薪資仲裁，巨人隊與一壘手Brandon Belt達成協議，巨人隊今年將給 Brandon Belt 360萬美元的年薪。

26歲的Brandon Belt去年7月對馬林魚賽前的打擊練習時，被球擊中臉部受傷，8月雖曾復出，但因仍有頭暈等症狀，因此接下來他幾乎都缺席，季賽他只出賽61場，打擊率2成43、全壘打12支、打點27分。

Brandon Belt直到世界大賽時再度出賽，打擊率3成08，有2分打點，幫助巨人隊打敗皇家隊，拿下世界大賽冠軍。
