金鶯選擇不執行2015年Nick Markakis的1750萬美元合約，執行副總裁Dan Duquette說：「他是值得信賴的球員，我們還想繼續合作。」

Nick Markakis在2009年與金鶯簽下6年合約，2015年為1750萬美元球隊選擇權、200萬美元買斷金。

根據《ESPN》報導，金鶯確定不執行來年選擇權，先用200萬美元結束這張合約，但不代表金鶯就此放棄Nick Markakis。

金鶯執行副總裁Dan Duquette說：「Nick是值得信賴的球員，金鶯很樂意繼續維持合作關係。」

Nick Markakis從選秀、小聯盟到大聯盟，一路都在金鶯成長，9年生涯出賽1365場，打擊三圍0.290/0.358/0.435(打擊率/上壘率/長打率)，累計141支全壘打61次盜壘成功。
