小熊博翻身押寶梅登辦得到

〔自由時報記者郭羿婕／綜合報導〕「鬼才教頭」梅登上週主動宣布要離開光芒，昨天確定落腳芝加哥，要帶領百年不知冠軍滋味的小熊翻身。

一如預期，小熊宣布開除原總教練倫特利亞，將由梅登接任。小熊今年73勝89敗在國聯中區墊底，但這已是小熊近4年最佳戰績，只是，球團需要大改造，高層認為只有梅登辦得到。

梅登2006年接掌光芒兵符後，四度領軍晉級季後賽，包括2008年挺進世界大賽，他並兩度獲得美聯年度最佳總教練。

「這是不可多得的機會。」小熊總裁艾普斯坦說，兩週前才和倫特利亞進行季後檢討與未來計畫，曾對外宣布他要續任也是認真的；不過，在梅登恢復自由身後，球團為爭取107年來首座世界大賽冠軍，決定網羅梅登。

倫特利亞去年季後才與小熊簽下3年約，不料只帶兵1季就被撤換，小熊另提供職務給他，端看他是否願意接受。
