國聯東區領先者國民隊近來很愛向對手說再見！昨日延長第11局下，國民藉由拉洛許的再見全壘打5比4險勝響尾蛇隊，拉出7連勝，同時是連3場以最後一擊贏球。國民成為本季第3支達到70勝的國聯隊伍，領先同區勇士的勝差為6場。

天使隊後勁十足，昨役靠著卓奧特、普侯斯2局上接力安打攻下奠定勝基的2分，4比2擒紅襪，73勝50敗超越同區勁敵運動家（73勝51敗）暫居全大聯盟第1，這也是天使2011年5月15日後，首登美西第1。
