去年在日職寫下24勝0敗驚人紀錄，田中將大本季轉戰大聯盟，開季又拿下3連勝，他說：「機率上不是零，只要有機會存在，我就會朝這個目標前進。」

昨天田中將大面對紅襪，強投7.1局失2分拿下開季3連勝，可說是相當具有指標性意義的勝投。

田中將大今天(24日)接受媒體訪問，談到是否把24勝0敗當作目標，他說：「這真的很難說，不過就機率上而言，現在不是不可能。」

「我會這樣說，是因為每次站上投手丘我都想擊敗對手，所以不想把這件事(24勝0敗)看成是不可能的任務。」

「只要有這個機會存在，我就會朝它邁進，每次站上投手丘我都想贏球。而我也完全瞭解，要達成24勝0敗會有多困難。」田中將大說。

洋基總經理Brian Cashman舉例了2位球星來讚許田中將大，「他有著像『公爵』Orlando Hernandez跟『火箭人』Roger Clemens一樣的特質。」

「沒有人期待他會有如此宰制性的表現，不過田中將大感覺就像是大聯盟老手，他不懼怕任何狀況，也不會被任何因素所影響。」Cashman說。
