田中招牌指叉球 孔恩：世界前5

【謝岱穎╱綜合報導】田中將大明凌晨2點就要參加洋基為他舉行的記者會，洋基老闆漢克(Hank Steinbrenner)、總裁拉文(Randy Levine)、總經理凱許曼(Brian Cashman)與總教練喬拉第(Joe Girardi)都將出席，田中將是今年大聯盟春訓最熱門的話題。

雷斯納讚 無與倫比

為讓球迷熟悉田中，洋基專屬的YES電視台兩度播出他去年於日職出賽的畫面，前賽揚獎得主、現任YES球評的孔恩(David Cone)對他的球技十分讚賞，尤其欣賞指叉球，孔恩說：「我不敢說他的指叉球是世界第一，但世界前5一定有的。」
另外，《紐約每日新聞》特別訪問2006~08年在洋基、過去5年在東北樂天當他隊友的雷斯納(Darrell Rasner)，雷斯納認為田中最需要適應的是大聯盟比較硬的投手丘，雷斯納認為田中是無與倫比的強投：「他很強，心臟很大顆，而且很有膽識。」同隊5年，他對田中可說相當熟悉，還特別強調：「我甚至認為他的潛力還沒完全發揮出來，而且他很了解自己，知道如何做好準備，田中現在最需要的只是適應環境、文化和食物吧。」
