徐總告別式，美和中學歷屆校友，徐總的同學、學長、學弟們，包括楊清瓏、江仲豪、趙士強、李居明等人都到場，青棒隊球員穿上球衣，專程自屏東北上，送大學長最後一程。
資深藝人林偕文、也是犀牛投手林彥峰的爸爸，在美和中學大徐總兩屆，兩人私交不錯，徐總上個月24日猝逝當晚，林偕文也是火速到醫院看他最後一面，在告別式會場，他一看到來自各方的輓聯以及徐總照片，感觸很多，徐總生前曾發願要達成職棒1千勝，但停留在715勝時就離開人世，林偕文說：「你看，徐總還差285勝就完成千勝，又是跟他的背號85有關。」(記者羅惠齡)
