【羅惠齡╱新竹報導】義大總教頭徐生明世後隔天，周日(25日)新莊球場象、犀戰結束，象隊由總教練謝長亨(見圖)帶領，特別前往犀牛休息室前敬禮致意，草總並淚灑球場，讓許多人動容，他說：「因為看到徐總比賽時常坐的位子突然空了，想到許多事，一時情緒就來了。」
周六跟象隊的雙重戰，是徐總生前最後一役，草總說：「我們是最後一支跟徐總比賽的球隊，加上我們陣中有很多球員出身自美和中學，跟徐總有關係，我才想周日賽後，帶著全隊去犀牛的休息室跟徐總致意。」象隊並預定周四或周五，全隊到徐總靈堂前上香。
