獅隊周日(25日)將辦「隊長日」，潘武雄將穿繡有隊長臂章的球衣，代表隊長的榮耀與傳承。潘武雄8月3日因背傷離開一軍名單，經過隨隊調整後，他說：「目前狀況已恢復8、9成，隨時都可上場比賽，一切配合球隊需要。」
今年擔任隊長，潘武雄坦言壓力很大，甚至影響今年表現：「沒想到擔任隊長是這麼難的事。」他也請教曾任隊長的前輩林岳平、陳江和等人，他們都告訴潘武雄：「如果自己都顧不好，怎麼可能顧得好球隊？」讓潘武雄豁然開朗。(記者王翊亘)
