【賴德剛╱桃園報導】猿隊教頭洪一中為了「轉運」，讓開路先鋒「詹帥」詹智堯改打第5棒，沒想到2局下登場就敲安，還跑回球隊第1分。洪總說：「就只是想拐氣一下，球隊最近不順，看能不能換個手氣。」
上半季猿隊因傷兵太多，詹智堯曾客串2場打先發第5棒，可惜零安打。昨賽前他的第5棒打擊成績是11打數1安打，打擊率不到1成，詹帥笑說：「反正都是偶爾客串，打擊策略不用做太大改變，唯一不同的地方就是要積極出棒，幫助壘上跑者推進。」
2009年進軍職棒，各棒次都曾先發過，只差第4棒，詹帥說：「我只有以前在中華培訓隊到國外移訓時有打過第4棒，進職棒就別想太多了吧。」
