葛利爾：牛棚是群鯊 真鯊魚現身海盜主場

國聯戰績排名第二的海盜隊，漂亮戰績跟隊上牛棚有相當大的關係，其他隊伍對上海盜的牛棚，打擊率僅有2成12，海盜牛棚的防禦率更是聯盟第一。而陣中的終結者葛利爾(Jason Grilli)稱自己的牛棚投手都是鯊魚，誰知球團真的在球場養了鯊魚，貨真價實的鯊魚。

「我們牛棚是一群養著鯊魚的水槽，我們有很多條鯊魚，只要我們嗅到血腥，我們就會馬上攻擊。」葛利爾當時自豪地說。但他怎麼也沒想到，球團隨後在球場擺了個150加侖的水族箱，養了2條真正的鯊魚，引起熱烈迴響。

據了解，這個水族箱是由一位自美國門羅維爾的水族箱製造商、同時也是海盜忠實球迷提供，裡面養著一條黑白點狀的斑鯊，以及黃灰條文的點紋斑竹鯊，除了鯊魚，還有一隻河豚，水缸裡面再放海盜船還有海盜的雕刻品當裝飾物，非常漂亮。

儘管這兩位稀客大部分時間都靜靜地躺著不動，但只要一有食物被丟進這水缸，牠們會還不猶豫撲向並直接咬碎，只也恰好被形容像是海盜的牛棚。

有球迷好奇看這鯊魚要不要付費，總教練賀多(Clint Hurdle)開玩笑表示，「我不知道要不要付錢才能看，我問過了，但沒有答案。」他繼續說道，「但他們(牛棚)一樣被視為鯊魚，他們接受，我們會用這個名字繼續努力。」
