（法新社芝加哥6日電） 2015年美國職棒大聯盟新球季今晚揭開序幕，聖路易紅雀（Cardinals）旗開得勝，以3比0擊敗芝加哥小熊（Cubs），紅雀先發投手韋恩萊特（Adam Wainwright）表現稱職，主投6局三振6人，未讓對方得分。

紅雀前兩局各攻下1分，讓頂尖右投韋恩萊特吞下定心丸，得以盡情展現投球魔力。

33歲的韋恩萊特只被擊出5支零星安打，表現輕易壓倒小熊投手萊斯特（Jon Lester），讓他加入小熊後的處女秀黯然無光。

紅雀前兩季都贏得國家聯盟中區冠軍，去年在國聯冠軍戰敗給舊金山巨人（Giants）。
