王牌投手收下20勝 紅雀完封小熊

紅雀王牌投手Adam Wainwright對小熊之戰，先發7局飆出8次三振，僅被敲3支安打沒有丟分，加上打線支援，率軍終場以8比0完封小熊。

Wainwright目前9月份先發5場、5戰全勝，單月防禦率1.69，此役收下本季第20勝（9敗），防禦率2.38，與道奇強投Clayton Kershaw並列勝投王。

這是繼2010年，Wainwright再度奪20勝，巧合的是，當時的第20勝，也是在小熊主場瑞格利球場所奪下。

此役紅雀攻勢集中在4、5局，在這兩個半局繳出7支安打、獲2次保送，灌進7分奠定勝基，其中代打Jon Jay單場4支2包辦了3分打點。

贏得這場比賽，紅雀國聯中區封王魔術數字減為「4」，另一方面，海盜今天以1比0完封勇士，兩隊差距仍是2.5場。
