半夢半醒之間 新秀被叫上大聯盟

2014年小熊農場評比第2名的內野手Javier Baez，5日被球團叫上大聯盟，當時他接獲教練通知後，從半夢半醒之間瞬間驚醒。

Baez現年21歲，主要守備位置游擊手，偶爾移防二壘，本季在3A出賽104場打擊率0.260、攻擊指數0.833(上壘率+長打率)，有23支全壘打80分打點16次盜壘成功。

小熊宣布把Baez升上大聯盟，3A教練Marty Pevey在早晨去敲他房門，準備通知喜訊，Pevey還先騙Baez說要加練二壘的腳步。

Pevey表示，當時Baez半夢半醒，還說了「什麼？要在房間裡面練嗎？」。接著才說出真正來找他的原因，讓Baez整個人瞬間驚醒。

小熊的明星游擊手Starlin Castro說：「Baez很有天賦也有能力，我認為到了大聯盟，他也能有一樣的表現。」
