中信兄弟5月吞16敗追平聯盟單月最多敗紀錄，6月的第1天跟統一獅交手，靠著郭泓志的再見暴投送禮，終場以7比6贏球，在新的月份有好的開始。

今天(1日)兄弟跟統一在洲際棒球場交戰，推出的先發投手是林煜清、廖文揚，前6局兩隊呈現打擊混戰。

只要統一在上半局得分，兄弟就一定會在下半局還以顏色，兩邊不斷互換領先跟平手，打完前6局為6比6，其中「周董」周思齊在4局下扛出1發陽春砲。

比賽勝敗關鍵發生在9局下，面對洋投邦勝(Boof Bonser)，王勝偉開局敲出二壘安打，迫使獅隊換上郭泓志登板，郭健瑜先觸擊成功把跑者推進到三壘。郭泓志接著面對「花花」張正偉投出暴投，讓王勝偉兵不血刃跑回再見分。

王勝偉單場4打數3安打，關鍵二壘安打加上跑回再見分，獲選為單場最有價值球員。勝利投手是後援2局無失分的謝榮豪(1-2)、生涯首勝，敗戰投手則是邦勝(2-3)。
