田中將大初登板飆三振「鬆了一口氣」

紐約洋基隊日籍好手田中將大2日在春訓熱身賽中初登板，他中繼2局，被打出2支安打，投出3次三振，無失分。
田中將大是接替在「沙胖」CC Sabathia與黑田博樹之後登場，Sabathia先發2局無失分，學長黑田博樹也飆出2次三振安全下莊。
身為洋基隊未來的王牌球員，田中將大這場展現他為何可以領到7年1.55億美元的高薪，成為日本球員跨海挑戰大聯盟最高薪的記錄。
洋基隊4局下先由日籍好手鈴木一朗敲出右外野安打，為洋基隊先馳得點。
5局上田中登板，他面對首位打者Darin Ruf雖然被敲出安打，但是他接連讓Cody Asche、Cameron Rupp擊成飛球被接殺。
Cesar Hernandez則是被田中三振出局，他飆出94英哩(約151公里)的速球，讓對方揮棒落空。
次局田中再以他拿手的快速指叉球讓Ben Revere三振出局，Ronny Cedeno雖然再次敲出安打上壘，但是田中又讓Domonic Brown揮棒落空，Kelly Dugan擊出高飛球出局。
田中將大第一次面對大聯盟級打者，除了飛球比例高外，他的三振手段也讓主播讚譽有佳。
賽後田中坦承有一點緊張，不過也徹底「鬆了一口氣」。
