樂天隊王牌投手田中將大，隨隊來台至今，主要任務是當啦啦隊，從監督星野仙一的態度看來，他在亞職大賽亮相的機會應該是微乎其微。

田中昨天賽前和隊友一起熱身，心情看來相當不錯，比賽過程也和旁人有說有笑；亞職大賽結束後，就等大聯盟球團出價挖人，將是美、日職棒協商後，透過入札新制赴美第1人，可望改寫標金紀錄。

星野再被問到田中是否登板一事，強調「真的很傷腦筋」。老教頭說，站在監督的立場，儘量不讓田中上場投球，畢竟他拚完整季已很疲累，「希望出賽的選手大量得分，別讓田中、則本昂大這兩名主力投手登板。」

昨天樂天、坎培拉隊之戰，桃園球場出現不少球迷，穿著田中的球衣，但星野的態度很明顯，田中的任務就是繼續在場邊為球隊加油。

中職首席顧問郭源治表示，這幾天有和田中互動，沒看到他在練投，要上場應很困難。

大郭說，星野有腰痛的老毛病，親自領軍來台已是誠意十足，本想帶他去針灸，但他每天不是球場就是飯店，婉拒接受治療。
