義大利派艾瓦多 對付老東家統一獅

【王覺一╱台中報導】前統一獅洋投艾瓦多(Giancarlo Alvarado)這次代表義大利波隆那參加亞職大賽，今天要先發出戰老東家。
他表示，大都會已邀他參加明年春訓，若無法升上大聯盟，希望有機會能再來台灣打球。

助獅奪冠 赴日發展

艾瓦多2004年首次來台加盟誠泰，但表現不佳，只投3場就遭解約。2008年再度來台，不僅幫助獅隊贏得總冠軍，還參加當年亞職大賽，開啟赴日發展的契機，2010年加盟廣島，去年再轉戰橫濱，今年則重返美國，但仍未升上大聯盟，在大都會3A戰績5勝4敗，防禦率3.49。
波隆那總教練納尼(Marco Nanni)表示，艾瓦多曾在台灣打球，對台灣球員比較熟悉，才會派他先發對戰獅隊。明天對上老東家有何對策？艾瓦多笑稱不能透露。不過獅隊捕手高志綱對他應是瞭若指掌，艾瓦多說：「他是很棒的球員」。
