中華隊跟日本的第一場對抗賽全場被三振了十六次只打出四支安打，日本隊面對旅外投手卻敲出了十支安打，顯示了雙方年輕球員適應比賽的能力。第二場比賽中華隊將派出已經算是老將的倪福德先發。（陳楷報導）

總教練呂明賜表示，中華隊打線被日本壓制，尤其是兩好球之後的決勝球，無論是指叉球或者變速球都非常優異。而自己守備只要一犯錯對方就抓住機會，「守備三次失誤造成很大的傷害，對手不管打擊黏度或者適應都非常好。」

先發投手王躍霖球速達到150公里，4.1局被打五支安打丟兩分，「賽前葉君璋提醒我，他們推打長打能力都很強，盡量攻擊不必閃躲。我也很享受比賽，沒想到能投到第五局。」

至於業餘球員羅國龍打出唯一的長打，他也坦白是抓到對手失投球，「他們投手都控制我們打者，節奏都亂掉了。」呂明賜表示，第二場比賽將由上過大聯盟的倪福德先發。
