【王翊亘╱高雄報導】犀牛隊內野手「男哥」林宗男多是擔任替補球員，今年打擊手感發燙，打擊率始終維持3成以上，也能兼守內、外野，是調度活棋。近期他擔任1棒三壘手表現稱職，連續8戰上壘，是最佳進步獎大熱門。
林宗男說：「職棒生涯已第8年，從春訓時就特別下工夫，想在今年球季有番作為。」即使開季從替補出發，不灰心，做好上場準備，他說：「替補球員就是這樣，有機會就要把握，因為打得好不一定還有機會，但打不好一定沒機會。」

未來每季 複製好表現

本季出賽66場，打擊率3成27、上壘率3成87、長打率4成10都是生涯新高，網友認為「男哥」有機會奪最佳進步獎，林宗男則認為一切隨緣：「好像是以前要夠爛才有機會拿最佳進步獎，比起這座獎項，我更想再用今年的成績，複製到未來的每個球季。」
