明星賽先發? 李維拉say no

〔自由時報記者徐正揚／綜合外電報導〕今年是洋基終結者李維拉近20年大聯盟生涯的最後1個球季，日前有消息指出，可能安排他在最後1次的明星賽擔任先發，但他興趣缺缺，希望仍在最後1局上場「關門」。

若無意外，李維拉今年一定入選明星賽，美聯總教練、老虎老教頭李蘭為了向他致敬，考慮讓他擔任先發，出發點在於，所有投手在明星賽都只投1、2局，不會造成太多負擔。李維拉卻認為，今年最適合擔任明星賽先發的是，締造開季11連勝的老虎投手薛哲。

李維拉強調，明星賽先發是份榮耀，但他不會考慮，希望能按照正常方式處理，讓他用最熟悉的角色上場，「我有聽過這事，但我並不喜歡，這不是我該做的事，我的工作是幫比賽收尾，我還是喜歡在第9局上場。」他說。
