金鶯不妙 魏特斯開刀本季報銷

【王翊亘╱綜合報導】經過1個多月休養復健，金鶯鐵捕魏特斯(Matt Wieters)右肘傷勢仍未復原，今天將進行手肘韌帶移植手術，雖然捕手的術後復健期比投手快，但也要9個月，本季確定報銷。
金鶯總教練蕭華特(Buck Showalter)說：「這段復健期間他的臉部表情與身體反應，很清楚的表示手術是無法避免的，或許今天魏特斯的狀況很好，鼓舞了我們，但隔天手肘卻痠痛得更嚴重。」

手肘受傷 今動手術

魏特斯今年繳出3成08打擊率、5支全壘打、18分打點，但手肘出現問題後，被迫離開捕手位置，只能擔任指定打擊，隨後被放入傷兵名單。蕭華特說，「雖然魏特斯離開球隊，但他對球隊的影響仍然存在，像是過去對投手的影響，讓我們對比賽仍有信心。」
