（路透奧克蘭9日電）美國職棒大聯盟MLB奧克蘭運動家決定明天的主場殊死戰，不派美聯分區系列賽首戰先發投手柯隆（Bartolo Colon）上場，反將派出新秀先發投手葛瑞（Sonny Gray）迎戰底特律老虎打線。

　　運動家教頭麥爾文（Bob Melvin）宣布23歲的葛瑞將扛起殊死戰先發的重責大任。葛瑞在系列賽第2戰幾乎沒被敲出安打。　　麥爾文說：「顯然包括柯隆在內，我們有兩位傑出人選。」　　「我們從各種角度評估，由於葛瑞最近一次在主場先發的條件與第5戰類似，決定派他出馬。」　　葛瑞將對決老虎先發強投魏蘭德（Justin Verlander）。魏蘭德在系列賽第2戰7局無失分。　　若運動家晉級美聯冠軍系列賽，將於12日在波士頓展開首戰，屆時柯隆可能登板先發。中央社（翻譯）
